best inline skates for streets and pavement?
i’m looking to get back into inline skating. i really like the look of rollerblade’s racemachine skates, but i think i’d feel a little safer with a brake.
i would mostly skate in the city on pavement and on the street elsewhere.
what brands and what type of skates would be good? i’m looking for women’s btw

Good choice. The heel brake is by far the fastest and easiest way to stop.
The two major companies for rec/fitness skates in the US are K2 and Rollerblade. They both make women’s models that are shaped for women’s feet and have a lower back on the cuff to avoid the calf muscle which is lower on women than men.
Sounds like you would be more interested in their fitness skates.
Generally they will have larger wheels (90 or 100mm), a middle height cuff on the boot, and a brake.
If you have previous inline skating experience 90mm should be reasonable. Some people (particularly smaller ones) have trouble standing or accelerating on 100mm.
